Warren Bolton Doesn't Care About Black People

The headline is a take-off of a Kanye West's famous Post-Katrina appraisal of George W. Bush. (For all of those lacking a sense of humor: this is funny because Warren Bolton is African-American himself and, as a Black man in Americ--oh, just forget it.)

Anyway, Bolton writes an odd and not-terribly-useful article that insinuates that Black supporters of school choice are somehow suspect because they...wait for it... are willing to work with conservatives! Oh, someone catch me, I'm about to faint.

Note to Warren Bolton: Some people would rather work with Republicans than lose another generation of kids to low achievement, high dropout rates and the continual cycle of grinding poverty. Just sayin'.

Here's another relevant believeitnot.news reprint that first appeared on Will's other site:

Putting Parents in Charge, S.C. for Responsible Government and Will Folks are among the most hypocritical scams to ever attempt to pull the wool over the eyes of S.C.

And comparing today’s defeat of vouchers to the Titanic is typical of their hypocritical rhetoric. You see vouchers are a scam.

Vouchers will never help those who need it most. Vouchers may help a few to better afford a private school, and it will certainly be a windfall profit for those already paying private school tuition. But, vouchers are a scam.

When you ask a voucher supporter how it will help the most needy children who can’t afford private school even with vouchers or children who live where no private school will open – all you get is rhetoric. The truth is that vouchers are a scam.

The S.C. House and the Senate should be proud to vote the voucher scam down – again. The reasons are many and obvious to those truly interested in helping everyone. Thankfully the majority of our Legislature recognizes that vouchers are a scam.

By the way SCRG is probably Will’s only paying client, and they are probably rethinking how they spend their carpetbagger money now that they have been defeated so many times. As badly as they have been beaten over the years someday the money changers will get tired of throwing good money after bad. Until then the people of S.C. can count on the Legislature to do the right thing – keep defeating the voucher scams.

By the way, vouchers really are a scam.

Dear "believeitnot":

You can't possibly be as stupid as you sound.

Look, ask yourself—would you personally rather have a choice of schools or would you rather be forced to send your kid to a failing school? I thought so.

So let me ask you this: Why do you hate Black people?

ill Bill

More pathetic SCRG rhetoric from sic(k) willie....
...uhhh, sorry. From "ill Bill."

Cute, but nothing original. Just the same old sputum. Just like the Legislature, we are smart enough to recognize the voucher scams for what they are.

Since you asked, we would rather see the Legislature suck in its gut and give all public schools the help they need.

Who was it - Gilda? - who said we tried the separate but equal thing already - it didn't work.

Vouchers are nothing but a scam. You can perfume that pig all you want, but it's still a pig.

And, citizens of SC know a pig when we see one. They also know snake oil salesmen when they see one.

Jim Rex won by two tenths of one percent of the votes cast, or something like that. Surely no one is attempting to claim a landslide victory with a razor thin margin like this...the way I read it, almost exactly one in two people in South Carolina are dissatisfied with public education as it currently exists in this state. If I were a supporter of the status quo, I'd read the election results for State Super of Education as a wake up call, not as an endorsement of present policy.

...just like a SCRG snake oil salesman to try to paint a victory out of defeat by whining about their margin of defeat. Rex WON!

The SCRG and their (paid) sycophant snake oil salesmen lost.

Rex won in the most Republican of all states against the Republican's hand picked darling. Rex won, get it?

Get this - vouchers have nothing to do with fixing SC schools.

Vouchers are a scam.

One half of the people in this state disagree, at least in part. Get it?

Typical SCRG sputum and rhetoric. Get over it. Rex won! Vouchers lost, again.

Rex won in the most Republican state - against impossible odds - against the SCRG’s hand picked Republican candidate - endorsed by the Republican governor. SCRG was counting on beating him by a landslide. They failed. He won. SCRG lost, again.

SCRG and vouchers are among the biggest scams every brought to S.C.

Thankfully, the majority of the people of S.C. as well as the majority of both houses of the Legislature continue to recognize the scam.

My main comment actually has nothing to do with the post, but rather the comments. Does no one have the courage to admit to their beliefs? ALL of the comments to this post are "anonymous." Perhaps if people started standing behind their own convictions, some progress of some sort could be made.

As for the post itself, my only comment (because I am not knowledgeable enough on the voucher system to have an opinion) is that at some point everyone is going to have to realize that the only way to get anything done is going to be to work together. Both sides will have valid points and the only way to get to consensus is to discuss those points calmly and rationally.

jmc,

Here's what you can do. First, call Will Folks (he's not hard to find), and ask him why he runs this rancid site. While you are at it ask him how much he is paid.

He will deny both, but it's easy to tell when Will is not telling the truth: his lips will be moving or he will be posting on one of his anonymous blogs. He's trying to make a living with anonymous blogs.

Then you can call the person who registered this site. He's probably in the phone book or you can email him.

Wonder what his motivation is? Can you say, "...playing politics with our children's education?" And, remember to ask what his business relationship is with Will Folks.
